in late september
i started to wonder if the pattern i’d written
for the aslan trends 2009 knitting challenge
was functional.
had i left out a part of the instructions?
had i reversed the cables in the wrong place?
did i have the number of repeats right?
so i grabbed my brown sheep burly spun and knit it again. and i was very relieved when it came out right.
then i tried to photograph it.
i am really quite a hack at that.
it takes me a ridiculous amount of shutter clicking to get good pics.
an embarrassing amount.
then here we are very much further on.
yesterday afternoon (about 1:47pm) the light in the kitchen was just right.
i am sincerely moved by light. i cling to it’s reflections.
alway it makes me think on good vs evil and all the shades of that struggle.
it meant borrowing my daughter from her playdate for a few minutes,
but we captured the scarf almost as i see it
in my head.
it’s funny that the hardest part about pattern writing and promotion for me
is getting the photos
to nearly match
what’s in my imagination.
when at target yesterday replacing the slippers
that my youngest two have worn
i was eyeing the big red orb and the circular arch out front.
errands making me think of knitting photo shoots?
crazy.

This is so cool! Will you be offering the pattern?
thank you! it knits up really quick and is toasty to wear.
http://www.aslantrends.com has decided to buy the pattern from me. i will be sure to say when it is available on their site.
