…i’m not such a great cook.
this is my 14 yr old’s version
of what i look like when she comes to the kitchen to talk to me.
perhaps the cooking would turn out better
if i weren’t a knitter who often stares at what’s in front of me
since i don’t necessarily need to look at each stitch.
you know, a watched pot never boils and all that jazz.
but you love my knitted purple hat, right? made it myself.
‘pot’ taken from 41:20 in job.
Hello there! I was going to pm you today at Rav to see if you are okay! I’m happy tp see you blogging again. I love your daughter’s picture of you “cooking”. I cook in much the same way, usually with a book or knitting to keep me company during the boring bits of meal preparation. 🙂 Love the purple hat! And your staring eyes.
the fiber factor competition has been way more time consuming that i originally expected. we’re on a stretch of no requirements now until this saturday. then only 3 of us go on to the final leg of it. will know soon how that’s all going to pan out.
i do look a little numb in the eyes, no? i’m just not inspired by cooking the way i am by knitting. that said, i do love to see my man and kids all happily full after a meal i make. all about balance.
and i recently managed to knit up a hat just that purple shade in cashmere. crazy soft stuff, so i’ve been wearing it a lot. i think that’s why she drew me in it. cashmere is so addictive.
