i’d like to be better at it.
so i’ve been testing patterns.
this designed by preita.
nice ‘n’ slouchy.
it’s simple too
which i like.
(give me stockinette stitch with good shaping any day of the week)
ok. back to crochet.
so, i added leaves and the buttons from itsybitsyspider‘s carrier
mostly to distract from the fact that it took me a bit
to straighten up & fly right
with the half double crochet decreases.
i’ve also discovered that i’m really awful at knowing
just where to start and stop
in the round.
i find myself forever counting to check that i worked it all out right.
this does not happen to me when i knit.
i don’t ever drop stitches, though, when i crochet so there’s certainly a silver lining.
and i’m giving the finished hat to my friend k
to help her out just a little
as she ‘relays for life‘.
all good.
‘silver’ taken from 3:6 of the book of acts.
