i had fanangled some time out and about and alone
(very rare for me these days).
i chose a long drive with the windows down,
the stereo cranked to eleven,
and nowhere i had to be.
…eventually as the scenery became familiar again,
i realized just how close i was to a great place for buttons,
leather cording, and notions of all sorts.
i was at the magazine rack checking out what’s new when it hit me.
i had something in all three of these front row magazines.
this has never happened before.
i blinked.
i debated pinching myself,
but decided that if i was dreaming i’d like to keep right on dreaming.
since no-one else was in that corner of the shop
to catch me being such a geek,
i opened up to the pages where my knitting was displayed
and took one more quick shot.
i spent the rest of the day feeling just a bit giddy
and marveling at the road that has brought me to this point.
huge thanks to classic elite yarns and skacel collection, inc
for the lovely yarns to work with,
to the editors and creative directors
for understanding what my needles were trying to say,
and to ravelry for opening up a world of possibilities by bridging the gap
between the ideas in my head and the mood boards of the publishers.
What a rush to know your three patterns are in those magazines! I love the hat on the right. I’m off to look at my queue to see if that’s the one I saved the other day…. 🙂 Congrats!
