i’m not much of a morning person.
not much at all.
despite this, lots of things happen
in the morning around here.
things that i am in
charge of.
mostly the early hours of each day are
a little blurry in my mind,
but today the lightness
as i cut veggies for packing in lunches
caught my attention and did not let go.
i keep thinking, ‘wow, it’s such a beautiful world
that we’ve been given to live in’.
even in the morning.
feeling grateful.
‘morning’ taken from 3:22-23 of lamentations.
I bought a tea pot a while back, which has inscribed on it the verse “this is the day which the Lord has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it.” I thought how lovely it would be to see that each morning as I poured my tea. Unfortunately the pot didn’t pour worth a tea leaf! But it makes a great plant pot, and sits in my kitchen with part of Phyll, my deceased aunt’s philodendron growing in it. And every morning I see and say that verse, because it is such a wonderful world we live in. Happy day, Talitha! Hugs!
how clever to repurpose the pot when it wasn’t good for tea. and i have that verse on a magnet on my fridge. it so helps me keep my head in perspective.
